Digital Opele Reading! Come and get it!
I offer "digital Opele readings" for those who can't visit an Ifa or Dilogun diviner in person. It's pretty simple, very basic, and soundly grounded in Yoruba cosmology: the system will cast a double Odu Ifa and takes you then to the relevant page with the Ese Ifa (Ifa texts) belonging to that Odu where one or more verses will turn out to be appropriate for the client. Apart from the verses themselves, neither the system nor I will give any interpretation - which sounds rather out of character because it's precisely the interpretation that I'm so bloody damn good in (wide grin!) but in fact it is quite in line with Ifa practice as found here and there in both Africa and the diaspora. In several African/diasporian Ifa practices the Awo does not point out what's relevant, but keeps reciting until the client says "Stop! This is what my issue is about! Let's explore that text(s)!" It's not the way I myself usually work... but it certainly is impeccably traditional... and to be frank: if I use my personal Ashé to have the digipele cast the correct Odu and quote the correct verses, it's a very good idea for you to use your personal Ashé in order to recognizingly shout: "Holy cow! I never thought of that, but it really is the issue!" Extensive long-distance reading. Yes, it works!
If more is desired, you can request a long distance Ifa divination reading which will be sent to you by email, containing four double Odu Ifa: the main Odu with it's supporting one, and the Iré/Ibi Odu with its supporter. Here not only the verses come in view, but also extensive interpretations. Many people in the Religion are uncomfortable with long distance readings and to a certain extend I agree with them: i much prefer doing the face to face stuff. However, the quality doesn't suffer by doing it online or long distance or via email or whatever - it just requires some more time and energy from myself... poor old me (wide grin)!
