Odu Ika-Oyeku

Akusaba-Iyanda, the awo of Onimeri-Apala,
cast for Onimeri-Apala on the day that he could not make children,
and all his 1440 women execpt one had left him.
They told him to sacrifice sixteen pigeons,
sixteen snails, sixteen hens, and ewe.
This would make it possible to return for all women
who had left him, and they would get pregnant,
and have healthy babies. Onimere-Apala listened,
and made the sacrifice. With the ewe medicine was made
for him to bath in. Very soon the woman who had stayed with him
was pregnant, and then all women came back and had children,
Ebo: 16 hens, 16 snails, 16 pigeons, ants and part of their ant hill,
and the ewe olusesaju, sawerepepe and oriji together with the ants
in soap. Kill one of the hens and add the blood to the soap, to bath.
Keep the soap in an unused closed calabash.

"If we neglect our duties towards others,
it doesn't improve our own lives either;
if we pay too much attention to ourselves,
it goes to the undeserved detriment of others.
If we refuse to do our part of s shared job,
people will eventually begin to avoid us;
if we walk away from all kinds of work
we do not deserve an honorable place in society"
was the one who cast Ifa for "As long as I myself feel good"
on the day that she declared to be unwilling
to be available to others, to be unwilling
to be there for those who needed her.
There was "As long as I myself feel good",
who declined every request for help or support,
complaining that she was far too busy, there was
"As long as I myself feel good" who abandoned
everything she started when she only was halfway
because she didn't like the work, but only
thought about her own well-being.
Her life progressed with difficulty,
her health was shaky, to say the least.
They cast Ifa for her and Ika appeared,
the cast for her and Oyeku appeared.
The instructed her to sacrifice, and to finally
get off her ass and do some work,
and to stop pampering herself.
"As long as I myself feel good" refused
to make the sacrifice, and she didn't work.
She considered herself too special, faar too delicate
to do any kind of useful work, she said that her health
was too bad for her to shoulder any obligations.
The people around her began to avoid "As long as I myself feel good",
and the world around her became empty.
This is where Ifa says that here is a very lazy persohn,
who is constantly occupied with real and imagined ailments,
instead of getting off her butt and do some useful work.
This person has no tolerance for even the slightest discomfort,
unless it is very clear that this discomfort will bring her advantages...
she is obsessed by her own advantages. Ifa says
that this person is intelligent, clever and brilliant but...
she is too lazy and egocentric to succeed in this world.
This person, Ifa says, will only have good health
when she abandons her hypochondria, and extends towards others
the same tolerance that she limitlesly extends to herself. Ifa say
that this person must stop avoiding to pull her weight
in communcal activities and work. The offering is:
money to be decided by the Awo, and adimu for Ogun.
