Ofun-Irete
Ofun was cast for Water, Irete was cast for Water,
who got the message that he should sacrifice
so that nobody would ever be able
to conspire against him, or to boycot him.
The offering was salt, palm oil, a pigeon,
a tortoise, an etu-cloth, and 3200 cowries.
He listened and made the sacrifice.
They said: whoever behaves
as an enemy of Water,
will die prematurely.
The etu-cloth is for the client
to cover his body, or for the awo
who wears it when making the sacrifice.
Ifa says that everybody who becomes
the enemy of this person,
will die prematurely.
