Ogbe-Osa

The White Heron Lekeleke, the awo of Ogbe,
was the one who cast Ifa for Ogbe, who would
go on a divination journey to the land of the Hausa's.
They told him that he would know abundance there,
and that he should make sacrifice for that purpose.
Now what did Ifa say the sacrirfice was?
Sixteen pigeons and 32,000 cowries.
Ogbe listened and made the sacrifice,
and he found abundance on his journey.
Ifa says that somebody will undertake a voyage
to a country where the people will show
an unexpected animosity. The people
in the country that we will travel to, will try
to force their own convictions upon us.
However, when we know that our own opinion
is correct, we will stick to it without,
however, being too obnoxious about it.
To change animosity into profit, we
will make ebo: 16 pigeons and cowries.
