Osa-Oturupon
"The little tree, the pepper tree, one
who comes to earth and never disappears"
was the one who cast for Olomo, whose children
were born with a caul, and who had many abiku.
Poor Olomo, would she have children on earth?
The Awo's instructed her to go, to make an offering
of 18,000 cowries, a multi-colored cloth, and the meat
of a ewe, a female sheep. Olomo listened
and made the sacrifice. The flesh of the ewe
was made into medicine for her, and she ate it.
When she gave birth, it was to nine children. So
whose mother is she? She is the "Mother of Nine",
which is how Oya became also Yansa. The meat
of the ewe that sha consumed to have children, well...
it never touche her lips again, it became a taboo.
"The little tree, the pepper tree, one
who comes to earth and never disappears"
was the one who cast for Olomo, on the day
that she would have children that lived, on earth.
Ifa says that the blessing of children will come.
After having recited this text, the Awo may continue reciting the following lines:
Ifa says here is a person who has a stormwind in their soul,
a person full of unrest and restlessnes. There is a person with
a close connenction to cemetaries; when we walk past
a cemetary we will greet Yansa, and we will do the same
when the wind blows on a street corner. Because Oya,
the mother of nine who is also known as Yansa, must
be satisfied in order for the unrest to disappear. Ifa
says too that the person has paranormal talents -
what's to be done with those is a matter of investigation.
Homeslessnes may be a threat - we investigate this too.
There's ebo to be made to either Oshun or Oya but oh dear,
we should determine very carefully whom of these two
will be the receiver! The wrong choice will really
make the shit thit the fan! For Oshun the offering
woyuld be 18,000 cowries, one pigeon, one rooster (yes,
a rooster!) and eggs. For Oya, the mother of nine,
the offering would be 18,000 cowries, a multi-colored cloth,
meat of a ewe, and mashed beans, to make medicine of.

Warning with regard to Osa-Oturupon! The client should be alerted to, and asked about, the possibility of anything infectious or contagious, and anything that might cause a fever. That can be any kind of inflammation, infectious disease, contamination, poisoning... that kind of stuff. Really, this needs thorough examination! It can be something as simple as the risk of a light food poisoning on the one hand, or a severe warning against the HIV virus on the other.
Osa-Oturupon refers to the inability to "create" life, i.e. infertility, and to the inability to live a long life. Sacrifice is in order to extend your life to its pre-ordained length, and a sacrifice to Ogun might solve the problem of infertility. If you want to have a baby: sacrifice to Ogun right now, and the rest of the job is up to you and your partner!
