Oturupon-Ika
Ifa was cast for Dejugbe, on the day
that he wanted to heal his wounded arm.
They said that, if Dejugbe wanted to heal his arm,
he should sacrifice two pigeons,
two chickens, 8000 cowries, and ewe.
Grind itapara-leaves thoroughly,
mix with soap and palmoil;
rub the body with this mixture.
Dejugbe listened and made the sacrifice.
Warning!
In my experience (and in that of others!) in each and every combination with Oturupon the client should be alerted to, and asked about, the possibility of anything infectious or contagious, and anything that might cause a fever. That can be any kind of inflammation, infectious disease, contamination, poisoning... that kind of stuff. Really: in each and every combination with Oturupon this needs thorough examination! It can be something as simple as the risk of a light food poisoning on the one hand, or a severe warning against the HIV virus on the other. I have never ever in my practice (which I started back in 1982) encountered any Oturupon combination falling for a client where the infection issue wasn't relevant in one way or another.
Oturupon-Ika
All combinations with Ika admonish the client to be very careful of everything that is, might be or might become an infection, and due to a similar nature of Oturupon, the combination Oturupon Ika can be extremely dangerous! . Take this in the broadest sense of the word. If you cut your finger, however small, put some iodine on it. If you take anything out of the fridge, look at the expiration date and when in doubt, don't eat it. Be careful what you eat, cook certain foodstuffs thoroughly to kill all possible bacteria. Stay away from places of possible infection or contamination. In this day and age the Ika warning alaso pertains to sex, unfortunately. If you have sex with anybody (with the possible exception of your regular partner), take care of good quality protection! Now don't get paranoid for Ifa does not say that you will get a nasty infection of inflammation or such, Ifa simply says that all combinations with Ika warn against the possibility, so you can take precautions.
