Oturupon-Ogbe

"The masquerader Oturu wears a calabash!
The masquerader Oturu wears a barrel!"
was cast for the acrobat, on the day
that he earned 2000 cowries for his show,
on the day also that he performed his show
and afterwards had sex with
the Olofins wife, in the first Otu-Ife.
They caught him;
the Oba ordered his execution.
On his way to the execution place,
the acrobat changed into Agemo,
an Orisha. Oh yes, there was Oturu
who travelled to Otu-Ife Ile,
to present his show.
The Olofin over there remarked
that he did not know how all his wives
had suddenly become pregnant.
He considered this a mystery,
a quite remarkable occurrence, also
somewhat suspicious.
He consulted the awos, who told him
to take 2000 cowries and invite
Oturu, the acrobat, to give a show.
Once the acrobat arrived, he gave
a spectacular show, and became
the favorite of the people.
Yes, possibly a bit too much
the favorite, because it became clear,
very soon, that he was the one
who had slept with the Oba's wife.
They caught him, and they were
instructed to thoroughly kill him.
When the chiefs proceeded to execute him,
they found to their enormous surprise
that he had changed into the Agemo!
At that very moment, they realized
that it was impossible to follow
the kings orders. Ifa says
that his person has a clear place
and function in his society, and if
he uses his brains just a little, nothing
will stand in his way. Ifa also says
that some sexual caution might be
advisable, because often all's well
that ends well, but sometimes
nothing ends well!

Warning!

In my experience (and in that of others!) in each and every combination with Oturupon the client should be alerted to, and asked about, the possibility of anything infectious or contagious, and anything that might cause a fever. That can be any kind of inflammation, infectious disease, contamination, poisoning... that kind of stuff. Really: in each and every combination with Oturupon this needs thorough examination! It can be something as simple as the risk of a light food poisoning on the one hand, or a severe warning against the HIV virus on the other. I have never ever in my practice (which I started back in 1982) encountered any Oturupon combination falling for a client where the infection issue wasn't relevant in one way or another.
