Oturupon-Ogunda

Oturupon-Eguntan was cast for Orunmila,
on the day that he wanted to have a child.
They said that Orunmila's wife would be pregnant
and that she would have a baby.
They instructed Orunmila to sacrifice,
so that the time of the child
would be a better time for him,
in order for the child
to come at a good time.
The sacrifice was a big hen,
a goat, and 66,000 cowries.
Orunmila listenend and made the sacrifice.
Ebo: 1 big hen, 1 goat, and money.

"The branches of the Iroko tree need to be cut
when the tree is still young. Once
the tree is old and big, it is hard
to cut its branches" was the one
who cast for Otu, on the day
that she become mother of a new baby.
They told her that the child, once grown up,
would become a thief. The instructed
the parents to sacrifice, so that
the child would obey them.
The ebo was a snail, a dried mud fish,
a pigeon, a banana, 6600 cowries and ewe.
When the sacrifice is made, eso-leaves
are to be used as ewe. Squash them
in some water and snail fluid, and use
the product to bath the child.
when the child grows up, grind eso-leaves
to cook with a snail or a dried mud fish,
to make soup for the child to eat.
The child must also eat bananas.
The sacrifice was made, and the child
developed good character. Ebo:
snail, fish, pigeon, banana, money and ewe.

Oturupon-Ogunda

Oturupon-Ogunda implies that the present moment is not the right one to conceive a child, but it promises much good for the future. One should not necessarily think of a physical child, often some undertaking or enterprise is meant. This Odu sometimes falls for a parent who has quite recently lost a child, short before or after birth. there was something wrong with the child, and nobody should blame themselves or anybody else for its death, because an early death was the childs chosen Destiny.
When Oturupon-Ogunda comes withIr're, it is time to unite light and darkness, because neither can exist without the other. some keywords are enlightenment, persistence, initiation, protection, hope and succes.
When the Odu comes with Ibi, it is important that the client improves his self-discipline. some keywords are confusion, destruction, lack of satisfaction, weakness, misdirected goals, bad advice, loss of direction and gullability.

Warning!

In my experience (and in that of others!) in each and every combination with Oturupon the client should be alerted to, and asked about, the possibility of anything infectious or contagious, and anything that might cause a fever. That can be any kind of inflammation, infectious disease, contamination, poisoning... that kind of stuff. Really: in each and every combination with Oturupon this needs thorough examination! It can be something as simple as the risk of a light food poisoning on the one hand, or a severe warning against the HIV virus on the other. I have never ever in my practice (which I started back in 1982) encountered any Oturupon combination falling for a client where the infection issue wasn't relevant in one way or another.
