Owonrin-Ika
Owonrin'Kaye was cast for Orunmila, on the day
that he made plans to travel around the whole world.
They instructed Orunmila to make sacrifice, in order
not to give the hands that despised him power over him.
The sacrifice was drie kola nuts, omo-ayo seeds,
a pigeon, a hen, 20,000 cowries and ewe.
Orunmila listened and made the sacrifice.
They said: a human fingernail does not infect
kola nuts, bitter kola called orogbo, or omo-ayo;
the hand of the despisers will not spoil you.
This was what Orunmila did, so that the hands
of those who despised him could not spoil him
Ifa says that if somebody wants to undertake
a journey, the good time for it is coming close.
Ifa also says that we will be somewhat disappointed
in those whom we are going to visit, unless we are prepared
to sacrifice and not put our expectations too high.
Owonrin-Ika
Owonrin-Ika speaks of great chances for success through employing the right motivation. The client should think well and hard before acting, in order to figure out if he's got the correct reasons.
But be aware of the following: Owonrin-Ika, like every combination with Ika, admonishes the client to be very careful of everything that is, might be or might become an infection. Take this in the broadest sense of the word. If you cut your finger, however small, put some iodine on it. If you take anything out of the fridge, look at the expiration date and when in doubt, don't eat it. Be careful what you eat, cook certain foodstuffs thoroughly to kill all possible bacteria. Stay away from places of possible infection or contamination. In this day and age the Ika warning alaso pertains to sex, unfortunately. If you have sex with anybody (with the possible exception of your regular partner), take care of good quality protection! Now don't get paranoid for Ifa does not say that you will get a nasty infection of inflammation or such, Ifa simply says that all combinations with Ika warn against the possibility, so you can take precautions.
