Eshu-Eleggua
Eshu is also known as Eleggua and Elegbara. There's no right name or wrong name, they're all good. He is considered to be the messenger of the Orishas, and it's a good idea to appeasde him before approaching any other Orisha. He is often called the Trickster, and most certainly he has some aspects of such a character. However, together with Ifa or Orunmila Eshu creates order from chaos, mainly by showing people the erros of their ways. He is a very complex orisha, in fact I doubt if he is an Orisha in the classical sense of the word. I consider him more of a spirit "sui generis"... or "one of a kind". I'm pretty sure Eshu will be pleased with this description (wide and wicked grin)!
